At western, southern and northern points, on trips to Honduras, Grenada and Barbados, you may travel the Caribbean Sea but whilst connected by geography and a tropical climate, you’ll find three very different countries with unique identities.

Honduras at hngdbbs.com

One of the poorest countries of the Caribbean region and also of Central America, Honduras also has a Pacific coastline. Despite suffering massive deforestation before the world became conservation savvy, over 40% of Honduras is covered in gorgeously lush rainforest including a high proportion of cloud forest. It’s a hotspot of biological diversity with a mass of plant species, including orchids and wildlife including the endangered jaguar. Although not as developed as a tourist spot as elsewhere, the Honduras Caribbean beaches are as equally attractive as any of the island countries.

Grenada

Aka The Island of Spice, Grenada is the largest of the Grenadines and its capital St. George is widely acknowledged as being one of the prettiest harbour towns in the Caribbean. It’s an island of pristine beaches, many practically deserted even in high season and spectacular waterfalls that pepper the mountainous interior. Grenada and its National Parks and small resorts is a great choice for the eco-tourist.

Barbados

One of the old hands in the holiday business, Barbados is often one of the first islands that comes to mind when thinking of the Caribbean. The tourist industry is very well facilitated and even though there are new kids on the holiday block, it’s still a very much sought after holiday destination for those looking for fun filled vacations and relaxing peaceful breaks. Bridgetown is a capital that oozes charm and it has managed to combine administrative functionality with elegance. It’s a major stop on Caribbean cruise itineraries and can be very busy when the liners dock in town. More information on Barbados you can find here: http://www.hngdbbs.com/bbs/.
